7 PM - 10 PM [7:00 PM - 7:30 PM introductory lesson for beginners and newcomers | 7:30 PM regular dance begins]

Tickets:

Tickets in advance: $7 for students, $9 for adults

Tickets at the door: $8 for students, $10 for adults

Program participants and volunteers are FREE (but require a ticket). Guests of participants or volunteers must purchase a regular ticket. If you are a volunteer please contact shininghopefarm@gmail.com for access code.

What is Contra Dance:

Wondering what Contra Dance is? Think ballroom dancing to country music (live music!). It is a blast! No experience? No problem. We will be teaching newcomers and beginners from 7-7:30 PM. All dances are beginner-friendly and you don't need to bring a partner!

About the Dance:

The event is alcohol & fragrance free. Bring clean dance shoes (low heels work best for contra.) Please no lifts or aerials.

Lesly Bowers delights the Charlotte Contra scene, as well as dance venues beyond, with her friendly delivery, clear calling and fun dances. Lesly always calls an interesting and varied program that keeps everyone smiling!

Refreshments:

We will be providing complimentary water, apple cider, and some snacks for participants, but feel to bring any refreshments that you desire.
